MANAGING THE LESSON: WEEK 3
👥 ATTENDANCE: Mandatory for All Teachers.
📍 FOCUS: Ensuring every student participates using Roles.
📋 THE WORKSHOP PLAN (90 Minutes)
1. THE PROBLEM (0-15 mins)
Discuss: "When students work in groups, does the strongest student do everything?"
Record: Record a 20-second video explaining this problem.
2. INPUT: ROLES (15-35 mins)
Read: Open Active Involvement in Group Work on the TV.
Select: Scroll to the "Roles" section.
3. THE WORKSHOP: JYS ROLES (35-80 mins)
Create: Agree on 4 Standard JYS Roles. Write them on A4 paper/cards.
Suggestion: Captain (Language Police), Writer, Speaker, Timer.
Drill: Practice the specific instruction: "You are the Captain. Your job is..."
Grouping: Decide how to put students in groups so friends do not sit together (e.g., Numbering 1-2-3-4).
✅ REQUIRED EVIDENCE (Zalo)
In-Meeting: Video showing the 4 Role Cards. One teacher points to each and explains the job.
Homework (Before next meeting): Run a group activity using these cards. Take a photo of a group with the card visible. Caption: "The Captain was [Name]. Participation: High/Low."
